Mustard plant is from the same cruciferous plant family like cabbage, Brussel sprouts, and broccoli. The seeds can be black, brown, and white (or yellow). Mustard name is derived from the Latin Mustum Ardens meaning “burning must” because of its pungent smell if pounded.
